BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Chubb names Lee Farrow executive vice president, life science lead

Chubb Ltd. on Tuesday said it has named Lee Farrow executive vice president and life sciences industry practice leader for North America, effective immediately.

Mr. Farrow, who joined Ace Ltd. in 2002 before it merged with Chubb Corp., succeeds Phil Fiscus, who has been appointed as deputy industry practices manager.

In his new role, Mr. Farrow will oversee the strategy, operations and underwriting of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, supplement and medical device customers, Chubb said in a statement.

He is based in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, and previously was a senior vice president in the life sciences practice, according to a Chubb spokesman.

Both he and Mr. Fiscus will report to Jim West, executive vice president, North America industry practice leader.

"Lee has been instrumental in the development of Chubb's Life Sciences business, and has played an important role over the last 16 months in helping to integrate and leverage our broadened Life Sciences capabilities," Mr. West said in the statement. "He has the skills and expertise needed to lead the Practice and understands the unique risk management needs of our Life Sciences customers."

Stephen Harris, senior vice president of Chubb life sciences, will now have expanded responsibilities in overseeing Chubb's major accounts customer segment within the life sciences industry practice.  In this expanded role, he will report jointly to Mr. Farrow and Matt Merna, COO of Chubb's North America major accounts division.
