BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Honest Co. settles second lawsuit alleging dishonest product claims

Actress Jessica Alba’s household and personal products company can’t catch an honest break in court.

Santa Monica, California-based Honest Co. is settling its second lawsuit over claims that it fraudulently labeled OK its products as natural, plant-based or chemical-free, Reuters reported on Monday.

Honest is accused of misleadingly marketing at least 41 items including bubble bath, children's toothpaste, floor cleaners, laundry detergent and soap, according to the wire report. The products were labeled "natural," "all natural," "naturally derived," "plant-based" and "no harsh chemicals (ever!)," but actually contained "a spectacular array of synthetic and toxic ingredients,” the lawsuit states.

Terms of the settlement in the proposed class action were not disclosed in documents filed Monday in a Manhattan federal court, but lawyers for Honest and the plaintiffs told reporters they expect closure soon.

This settlement was made public one week after Honest reached a $1.55 million settlement in a federal lawsuit in Los Angeles claiming it sold laundry detergent, dish soap and surface cleaners containing a skin irritant it had pledged to avoid, according to Reuters.
