XL Catlin names chief underwriting officer for global marine

XL Group Ltd., which does business as XL Catlin, said Thursday that Rob McAdams had been named chief underwriting officer for global marine, effective immediately. 

Mr. McAdams, who is based in London, was previously UK/ Ireland marine leader. He replaces Lee Meyrick, who went to Aon Risk Solutions.

“We are delighted that Rob has stepped into this position,” Doug Howat, XL Catlin’s chief executive for global lines, said in a statement. “Rob has been with XL Catlin since 2000 and during this time has honed his expertise spanning hull, ports and terminals, and global marine and upstream energy liabilities.”
