San Francisco-based Embroker Inc. has opened a Chicago office, Embroker said in a Friday statement.
Embroker, which is still beta testing its products, will offer online placement and policy administration services to businesses, a company spokesman said. The company has offices in San Francisco and Boston, according to the statement.
Embroker will operate from the Chicago office with about 35 employees including Chief Operating Officer Julie Zimmer and Vice President of Client Experience Tom DeMichael. Embroker plans to hire for more than 10 new positions in the downtown Chicago location this year, according to the statement.
“We are excited to expand in Chicago, a city that has a long history of insurance innovation and a deep pool of talent,” Matt Miller, CEO of Embroker said in the statement. “This third location will serve as the primary hub for our operations and sales teams as we continue to scale our platform that simplifies the experience of buying and managing policies for all kinds of growing businesses.”
