Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. has agreed to buy Irish claims management firm OSG Group.
Dublin-based OSG offers property/casualty loss adjusting services, third-party administration, auto and specialist claims services in the Irish and overseas markets, Sedgwick said in a Wednesday statement
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. OSG has more than 400 staff and eight offices in Ireland. The firm will to operate as an independent entity under the name OSG Vericlaim, a Sedgwick company, according to the statement. OSG CEO Malcolm Hughes will remain in this role, a Sedgwick spokeswoman said in a statement.
“As a sophisticated insurance and financial services center for much of Europe, Ireland was a natural fit for the next stage of Sedgwick's growth beyond North America,” said Dave North, president and CEO of Memphis, Tennessee-based Sedgwick.
In addition to Ireland, Sedgwick and its subsidiary Vericlaim have international operations in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Specialist loss adjuster VRS VeriClaim Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc., said it has acquired Leeds, England-based specialist property and liability loss adjusting company Certo.
