Risk Strategies Co. Inc. said Monday that it has acquired reinsurance specialist Re-Solutions Intermediaries L.L.C.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Minneapolis-based Re-Solutions are reinsurance specialists focused on assisting health care organizations around the world manage risk. Re-Solutions provide analytics, consulting and creative reinsurance solutions for the health, accident, life and disability insurance industries, Risk Strategies said in a statement.
Re-Solutions founder and president, Tony Plampton and his team will join Risk Strategies, the statement said.
“Tony and his team have created a firm with truly impressive expertise that highly complements our overall efforts in addressing every risk management facet in the health care industry,” said Bob Dubraski, senior managing director of Risk Strategies and leader of its national health care practice, in the statement. “Re-Solutions’ exclusive focus on reinsurance in health care and personalized approach to client service makes it a perfect fit with Risk Strategies as we work toward building the best all-lines healthcare industry broker in the country.”
The proposed merger of Towers Watson & Co. and Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. took another salvo as proxy advisory firm Glass Lewis & Co. L.L.C. recommended that Towers shareholders should vote against the deal.
