Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. has opened the Marsh & McLennan Innovation Center in Dublin, the company announced Thursday.
The center will be a data and analytics development platform for Marsh & McLennan's businesses — Marsh L.L.C., Guy Carpenter & Co. L.L.C., Mercer L.L.C. and Oliver Wyman Group — “to deliver industry-leading digital solutions to clients,” Marsh & McLennan said in a statement.
Marsh & McLennan said the center is the first of its kind for the company. The project is supported by Ireland's Department of Jobs through IDA Ireland, a government agency that promotes industrial development in the country.
“With nearly 600 employees in Ireland, Marsh & McLennan has benefited over the last four and a half decades from the skilled and global workforce in Ireland and the country's culture of advancing technology and innovation,” Marsh & McLennan President and CEO Dan Glaser said in the statement.
Marsh & McLennan has expanded the responsibilities of Chief Technology Officer David Fike, who relocated to Dublin last year, to include serving as the center's president, the company said in the statement.
Marsh L.L.C. on Tuesday said it has appointed Sally Williams as director of risk and governance for its U.K. and Ireland activities.
