BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel credit card systems hacked

Luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group reported that its credit card systems have been hacked into at an “isolated number” of its hotels.

The Bermuda-based chain said in a statement Thursday that it can confirm only that the hotels affected are in the United States and Europe, but not in Asia.

It said it has identified and removed the malware and is coordinating with credit card agencies, law enforcement authorities and forensic specialists “to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to fully protect our guests and our systems across our portfolio.”

It said that although it has “leading data security systems” in place, the malware is undetectable by all antiviral systems.

The company said a forensic investigation is still underway. A hotel spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.

The company operates or has under development 44 hotels in 24 countries.
