BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance adds pollution coverage

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, a unit of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., has expanded its U.S. casualty liability products to include pollution coverage.

In a move to enter the environmental insurance market, the Boston-based insurer now offers pollution coverage on general casualty forms on a primary and excess basis, with capacity of up to $25 million, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance said Tuesday in a statement.

Boston-based Chuck Hasselback has been named to head the firm's environmental group. Most recently, Mr. Hasselback was product development manager for Lexington Insurance Co., a subsidiary of American International Group Inc.

“Chuck's extensive experience enables BHSI to set an optimal course for our operations as we move into the U.S. environmental insurance market,” Meredith Bullock, vice president of casualty, said in the statement.
