Ageas buys remaining AG Insurance stake from BNP Paribas

Belgium-based Ageas SANV has acquired the remaining 25% stake in its domestic subsidiary AG Insurance SANV from BNP Paribas Fortis SANV for 1.9 billion euros ($2.2 billion), Reinsurance News reported. The deal, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, will make Ageas the sole owner of AG, while BNP Paribas’ insurance subsidiary is set to own a 22% stake in Ageas itself once the transaction is completed.
