UK-based Africa Specialty Risks Ltd. has launched Syndicate 2454 in South Africa to underwrite insurance and reinsurance risks across the country and nearby markets, Reinsurance News reported. The syndicate will initially offer construction coverage and captive programs while providing Lloyd’s capacity directly to local intermediaries.
