BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Following the two worst years on record for entertainment insurance losses, the outlook is positive. Clients are returning to normal and the market continues to show strong results post-pandemic. Hardening rates are leveling out and could well reduce as we see new capacity enter the space.

To support and complement one of the most experienced entertainment broker teams in the U.S. and work collaboratively to position Risk Strategies as the leading entertainment broker of choice.

The digitization of the insurance product and how one interacts with it, in an industry that is consistently pushing the boundaries of technology, is a key challenge. Entertainment insurance is notoriously fast-moving and subject to last-minute change. This dynamic requires the market to become much more reactionary to the needs of the client. Technology advancement will likely be the solution.

I started my career at Sebastian McLean International, a boutique City of London broker writing European weather, commercial production and contingency risks. I am indebted to Mark Owen for giving me my start in this industry.

Listen and learn as much as you can. Immerse yourself in the industry and enjoy what you’re doing. Meet people and make connections – it’s a relationship business.

I come from a family of bakers, so it would have to be running a small bakery – although I know I would struggle with the 3 a.m. starts each day.

School of Life. I left high school and spent a year traveling/working in Australia. This really opened my eyes to the world, people and their cultures.

I’m looking forward to working with a group of people that share the same passion for this industry as I do. Working for a company that is fully invested and committed to the path of growth and success that we are on.

People who know me know I love Indian food – to the extent that I frequently cook it at home and visit my local Indian supermarket weekly. My go-to meal would be a spicy Chicken Madras, pilau rice, naan bread and an ice-cold Cobra beer.
