The industry is a vital element of the economy. However, it’s going to change dramatically over the next few years thanks to new technology, the availability of ever-richer data and an ever-more intense competitive environment.
We will build the software applications the industry will use to apply artificial intelligence to claims operations.
Managing innovation and embracing change, especially at the pace that it will come will likely present the biggest challenge to industry leadership.
I’ve been in the technology industry since the mid-’90s. I’ve worked with insurance firms and financial services firms for years. This is my first real insurance-only focused experience.
Depends if we’re talking tech or insurance. If tech, the strongest bit of advice I can offer is to never lose sight of the fact that you are building software for your customers, so do what it takes to understand them and their needs.

That’s a very mood-dependent thing. I tend to eat very few carbs, so a great steak is usually high on the list. But also, I am a very adventurous eater, so it’s likely I’ve not yet found my favorite!
I aspire to have the time to read. I tend to like nonfiction and historical books, but it’s been a number of years since I picked one up.
Traveling, weight training, golf, kid containment
