The Women to Watch Foundation was founded in 2017 with a commitment to advancing women and girls globally. Our purpose is to raise awareness, pool our talent and networks, and mobilize our resources towards programs that elevate the livelihood, health, and advancement of women and girls.
By providing resources and support for the philanthropic causes we serve, and by aligning with like-minded initiatives working on the ground, the Women to Watch Foundation financially supports sustainable programs that improve the lives of women and girls globally. The Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) with 100 percent of the proceeds collected going to the humanitarian initiatives we serve.
For the first two years of our charter, we will be focusing our philanthropic efforts towards Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon, an affiliate of the George W. Bush Institute, in support of their efforts to save women’s and girl’s lives from cancer in developing countries. Pink Ribbon’s work provides education, screening and treatment of cervical cancer to women and girls in Sub-Sahara Africa and Peru, where more than 92,000 women develop cervical cancer each year. A majority of whom ultimately die from this completely preventable disease.
Reducing death from cervical cancer is a prime objective of Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon, the primary beneficiary of the Women to Watch Foundation. Cervical cancer is highly preventable.
