Two brokers deny coverage to Adani's Carmichael coal mine

Two brokers Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. and Lockton Cos. Inc. have refused to arrange insurance coverage for India-based firm Adani Enterprises Ltd.'s controversial Carmichael coal mine in Queensland, Australia as its plans are out of line with efforts to limit global warming, Business Lend reports. Both insurers and brokers are said to be a target for teams campaigning against environmentally damaging projects since insurance is a pre-requisite for monetary backing.
