Liberty Mutual names Global Risk Solutions execs

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Monday announced two appointments in its Global Risk Solutions Office of Underwriting.
Julia Chu joins the unit as head of underwriting planning, performance and portfolio management, and Thomas Leahy was named global product leader, financial lines. Both appointments are to newly created roles that take effect Sept.
Sept. 26.
Ms. Chu joins Liberty Mutual from Markel Corp. in Glen Allen, Virginia, where she was chief risk officer.
Mr. Leahy has served as president, professional liability, for GRS North America Specialty and will continue to be based in New York.
Ms. Chu and Mr. Leahy will report to Matthew Moore, GRS president of underwriting
