BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

New York lawmakers are proposing to add injured workers to the list of those with disabilities who are exempt from paying real estate taxes.

A.B. 10395, introduced Friday, amends state law on disabled persons, adding to the list of those exempt from real property taxes an individual who has received an order from the chair of the Workers' Compensation Board pursuant to the comp law determining an award for compensation for permanent total or partial disability.

The bill was sent to the real property taxation committee.
