UnitedHealth records $24 billion in 2021 earnings

UnitedHealth Group Inc. posted strong 2021 earnings led by double-digit revenue growth in its Optum division, MPR News reports. The largest U.S. health insurer saw 2021 revenues rise almost 12% to $287.6 billion, and full-year earnings from its operations were $24 billion, with the Optum businesses making up more than half of that total.
