FM Global on Wednesday named Christopher M. Dempsey as senior vice president, EMEA division manager, succeeding Philip Johnson, who has been promoted to chief learning officer, a new global role based in London.
Based in Luxembourg, Mr. Dempsey will be responsible for operations and strategic direction across EMEA, including underwriting, client service and engineering, the Johnston, Rhode Island-based insurer said.
Mr. Dempsey joined FM Global in 2001 and most recently served as operations senior vice president in Chicago.
As chief learning officer, Mr. Johnson will lead the development of the FM Global Academy as it expands its focus to provide a range of in-person and on-demand learning programs globally, the insurer said.
FM Global named longtime underwriting and sales manager James R. Galloway an executive vice president of the insurer and head of its international and middle market divisions.
