A failure to reach agreement on health insurance premium increases are at the heart of a breakdown in talks between PepsiCo and union truck drivers, route drivers, merchandisers, and other delivery personnel working at the Pepsi bottling plant in Munster, Ind., according to The Shelbyville News. Workers are going on strike Monday after rejecting the White Plains, N.Y.-based company's final contract offer. The Teamsters union wants worker-paid health insurance premiums to remain capped at the current rate of $14 per week, while Pepsi wants to raise the workers' share by about $20 a week in each year of the four-year contract, the report states.
