The tightening of global metals supply chain due to the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to hit the aerospace sector, which faces high costs of raw materials and freight charges, Argus Media reported. Logistical constraints resulting from congestions at major ports, container shortages, surging seaborne freight rates and labor shortages are likely to affect the supply chain of metals and delay demand recovery.
