Reinsurer Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. has projected continued hardening of insurance and reinsurance rates through 2022 as insurers and reinsurers reduce their risk appetites and tighten capacity, Artemis reported. Macro factors such as pandemic and natural catastrophe related losses as well as uncertainty from social inflation have adversely affected the risk appetite of insurers and reinsurers.
