BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Dogan Kaleli, a former executive at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, has launched Stere LLC, a program placement platform.

The platform is designed to tackle speed-to-market, capacity sourcing and other challenges faced by managing general agencies and underwriters, insurtech firms and embedded insurance programs in a hardening market, Stere said in a statement Wednesday.

Its first technology module, known as Stere P3, enables MGAs/MGUs, insurtech firms and program owners to source insurance capacity and access digital tools, Stere said.

The platform equips program owners with a selection engine and is designed to increase program success rates by over 25 percent, while also creating growth opportunities for capacity providers.

The program business segment is plagued by manual processes for capacity placement, inefficient post-placement steps and a lack of digital initiatives, according to Stere.

Mr. Kaleli served as head of program business, North America, at AGCS from 2017 to 2020.
