Group AG’s acquisition of Aegon blocked

The Ministry of Interior of Hungary has blocked Austria-based Vienna Insurance Group AG’s €830 million ($986 million) acquisition of Netherlands-based Aegon N.V.'s businesses in the country, Budapest Business Journal reported citing MTI. The insurer was in constructive talks with the finance minister, adding that the interior ministry's measure was in contradiction with the course of the talks.
