Microsoft cyber attack could trigger thousands of insurance claims

Cyber risk analytics firm CyberCube Analytics Inc. has warned insurers and reinsurers to brace for a long-tail of potential attritional claims resulting from the recent cyber attacks on Microsoft Exchange servers, CIR Magazine reported. William Altman, cybersecurity consultant at CyberCube, said that the attacks could have compromised tens of thousands of Microsoft Exchange servers used by worldwide entities that could make insurance claims.
