BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

John Haas

NFP Corp. said Monday it has hired former Willis Towers Watson PLC executive vice president John Haas as president of its Canadian operations.

Mr. Haas succeeds Greg Padovani, who took on the role in July 2019 while the company assessed its long-term leadership strategy, NFP said in a statement.

Mr. Padovani remains a member of the senior leadership team, NFP said.

In his role as president, Mr. Haas will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of NFP’s business in Canada, collaborating with the current leadership team, NFP said.

He will be based in Toronto and report to Ed O’Malley, NFP’s executive vice president and head of insurance brokerage and consulting.

Previously, Mr. Haas was executive vice president, Canadian corporate risk and broker leader and North American natural resources leader for rival Willis Towers Watson.
