QBE decides to settle BI claims after Irish test case ruling

Australian insurer QBE Insurance Group Ltd. has decided to settle the previously rejected business interruption claims of its Irish commercial insurance policyholders following FBD Holdings PLC's test case ruling, Irish Independent reported. The development comes after the Central Bank of Ireland threatened to take enforcement action against insurers who do not honor valid BI claims despite the Irish high court’s ruling in the favor of publicans in the FBD test case.
