Tokio Marine’s profit sinks nearly 40%

Japan-based insurer Tokio Marine Holdings Inc.’s ordinary profit dropped 39% year-on-year to 182.4 billion Japanese yen ($1.7 billion) for nine months ended December 2020, Reinsurance News reported. The COVID-19 pandemic affected its international business, which collectively saw a 53% fall in profit.
