BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AHT Insurance has established a captive programs division and hired longtime health care captive management executive Mark Tabler to head the practice, the brokerage announced Wednesday.

AHT Insurance, which is the trading name of Leesburg, Virginia-based Armfield, Harrison & Thomas Inc., will offer consulting and captive formation services for single-parent captives, segregated cell captives, risk retention groups and microcaptives, the brokerage said in a statement.

In addition, it has contracted with Oxford Risk Management Group, a Sparks, Maryland-based unit of Risk Strategies Co. Inc., to offer group captive services, the statement said.

Mr. Tabler, who was named global captive practice leader of AHT, most recently was executive director of Genesis Re Inc., a medical stop-loss captive.

“As we move into 2021 and 2022, the uncertainty of the commercial market lends many opportunities for us to provide clients with an alternative solution,” Mr. Tabler said in the statement.

AHT is the 65th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
