Fidelis places $275 million cat bond

Bermuda-based Fidelis Insurance Holdings Ltd. has placed a $275 million catastrophe bond for property catastrophe reinsurance, Artemis reports. The Herbie Re Ltd. cat bond will provide collateralized reinsurance against first-event losses from named storms or earthquakes across the United States and territories including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.
