CRC announces executive changes

CRC Insurance Services Inc., the wholesale brokerage business of Truist Insurance Holdings Inc., said Monday that Mike Brennan will succeed Ron Helveston, who is retiring, as CEO, commercial solutions, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Mr. Helveston joined CRC in 1984 as the company’s ninth employee, the statement said.

Based in Chicago, Mr. Brennan will assume responsibility for all of CRC Group’s brokerage and binding operations, the broker said in a statement. He is now president, commercial solutions.

Additionally, Neil Kessler, now chief operating officer, CRC Group, will become president, while retaining the COO title, effective Jan. 1, 2021. Based in Dallas, he will assume responsibility for CRC Group’s mergers and acquisitions strategy and the company’s programs and J.H. Blades divisions.

Mr. Brennan and Mr. Kessler will report to Dave Obenauer, CEO of CRC Group, the statement said.
