Swiss Re corporate insurance unit promotes execs

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions on Thursday named Allen Kwan as head customer management North America and Daniel Combes as head distribution management North America.
In their newly-created roles, Mr. Kwan will be responsible for strategic relationships with corporate policyholders in the United States and Canada for the Swiss Reinsurance Ltd. unit and Mr. Combes will be responsible for strategic relationships with brokers in the two countries, according to a Swiss Re Corporate Solutions statement.
Sarah Kestle, head customer and distribution management Canada, will remain the local lead for Canada, the statement said.
Mr. Kwan joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2012 and was previously head sales, U.S. West Region. Mr. Combes also joined Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in 2012 and was previously head sales, U.S. East Region.
Mr. Combes is will remain in New York and Mr. Kwan will relocate to New York from San Francisco, a Swiss Re spokeswoman said in an email. They will report to Ivan Gonzalez, CEO North America, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the email said.
