Alera acquires middle-market brokerage

Alera Group Inc. has acquired Chicago-based brokerage Alper Services LLC, Alera said in a statement Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1966, Alper Services provides property/casualty, trade credit, employee benefits and financial services coverage to middle-market businesses throughout the Midwest and Chicago area.
The brokerage is also known for its claims service model, Deerfield, Illinois-based Alera said.
Alper Services joins Alera Group through GCG Financial, an Alera Group Inc. company, the statement said.
The Alper Services team, led by CEO Leslie Morse, will continue in their existing roles, Alera said.
