Mitchell/Genex finalizes acquisition of Coventry

Mitchell/Genex, formerly known as Mitchell International Inc., announced Monday that it has completed its acquisition of Coventry Workers Comp Services from CVS Health.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Mitchell/Genex, which includes San Diego-based Mitchell and Wayne, Pennsylvania-based Genex Services LLC, said in a statement that it will add Coventry’s preferred provider organization to its cost containment and clinical services division and gain 2,000 employees.
Downers Grove, Illinois-based Coventry, a provider of care and cost management programs for workers compensation, auto insurance, third-party administrators and self-insured employers, will continue to be led by President and CEO Art Lynch and operate under its brand, according to the statement.
Coventry was formerly a division of Aetna, a CVS Health company.
