UK floods property claims to surpass $350 million: Perils

Swiss catastrophe loss data provider Perils AG expects property claims related to floods caused by storms that hit the United Kingdom in February to total nearly £300 million ($372 million), S&P Global reported. Storms hit northern England, Wales, and to a lesser extent, Northern Ireland and Scotland, between Feb. 9 and Feb. 29, and caused widespread flooding.
