CFC Underwriting Ltd. has named Angus Marshall, formerly with American International Group Inc., as transaction liability practice leader.
Mr. Marshall led the U.K. and London market mergers and acquisitions team for more than four years while at AIG, London-based CFC said in a statement.
A spokesman said Mr. Marshall, who is based in London, replaces Matt Giddings, who has left the insurance industry.
CFC said in October it had acquired a Texas-based incident response firm.
David Walsh established CFC Underwriting Ltd. as a managing general agent in London nearly 20 years ago to offer newly developed cyber liability insurance coverage but had to wait until about 2015 before the cyber market started to take off. In the meantime, CFC entered other lines such as professional liability and intellectual property. Accessing capacity from about 35 Lloyd’s of London syndicates, CFC offers a range of specialty coverages, often related to technology exposures. Recently, Mr. Walsh spoke with Business Insurance Editor Gavin Souter about developments in the cyber liability market, how technology is changing insurance, and the outlook for Lloyd’s amid proposed reforms of the market and the prospect of Brexit.
