Swiss Re to provide marine cover to foreign ships in India

India's maritime administration has approved Swiss Re Ltd. to provide protection and indemnity liability cover to foreign ships that call at the country's ports, Business Line reported. Swiss Re has partnered with Singapore-based EF Marine Pte. Ltd. to offer insurance against risks including oil spills and collisions. It is one of 14 marine insurers approved to sell marine coverage in India.
