Ironshore Environmental said Monday it is offering a comprehensive contractors environmental legal liability policy.
The policy responds to third-party bodily injury, property damage and remediation of environmental damages resulting from pollution incidents caused by the contractor’s work at a job site, according to a statement by the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group unit.
The coverage, which is available through an online Quote & Bind portal to brokers for contractors with up to $100 million in revenues, provides available policy limits of $500,000 to $10 million, and up to $50 million upon referral, according to Ironshore Environmental.
The policy has no minimum premium, with deductible options starting at $2,500, and includes an “enhanced” commission, according to the statement.
The policy is offered on an occurrence basis and can be underwritten for practice, project or wrap-up coverage. Coverage includes pollution liability incidents associated with transportation, nonowned sites and time-element pollution accidents at owned sites, as well as costs related to image restoration, disinfection events and pre-claim expenses, the statement said.
Ironshore Inc.’s construction industry group, in conjunction with its Ironshore Specialty Casualty unit, is offering enhanced coverage for designers and contractors, with a specialty program for contractors pollution liability.
