Swiss Re appoints group COO

Swiss Re Ltd. said Thursday it has appointed Anette Bronder as group chief operating officer and member of the group executive committee, in a move to strengthen its digital and technology expertise.
Ms. Bronder joins Swiss Re from T-Systems International GmbH, the IT arm of Germany’s Deutsche Telekom AG, where she was a member of the board, and managed growth areas including cybersecurity and Internet of Things, the company said in a statement.
From July 1, Ms. Bronder will succeed current COO Thomas Wellauer, who is retiring at the end of June, Swiss Re said.
