Insurers refuse to cover cargo trucks unless armored

Mexican insurers are refusing to cover trucks carrying expensive goods such as electronics and designer clothing unless the vehicles are armored to withstand armed cargo thefts, CDL Life News reported citing sources. Cargo thefts in Mexico have doubled from 2015 to more than 30 thefts per day and cost the local truck industry more than $4.5 billion per year.
