Help

BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

AIG names former CNA head Motamed to board

Former CNA Financial Corp. chief Tom Motamed has been named to the board of American International Group Inc., the New York-based insurer announced on Tuesday.

Mr. Motamed, 70, retired from CNA in 2016 and was replaced by Dino Robusto.

Mr. Motamed joined the Chicago-based insurer as chairman and CEO in 2009 after 31 years at Chubb Corp., where he rose to vice chairman and chief operating officer.

He will be included in AIG’s slate of nominees for election to its board at the insurer’s 2019 annual shareholder meeting later this year, AIG said in a statement.

Mr. Motamed has been named to AIG’s risk and capital committee and its compensation and management resources committee, AIG said.
