Willis Towers Watson hires former JLT captive executive

Willis Towers Watson PLC has hired former Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC captive insurance executive Steve Arrowsmith to lead business development at its Bermuda captive management operations, the brokerage announced Monday.
Mr. Arrowsmith spent nearly 20 years at JLT, most recently as executive chairman of JLT Insurance Management (Bermuda) Ltd.
At Willis Towers Watson Management (Bermuda) Ltd., he will be executive vice president and head of client services, a newly created position, and will be responsible for leading client services and business development, the brokerage said in a statement.
Based in Bermuda, Mr. Arrowsmith will report to Paul Bailie, head of Willis Towers Watson’s Bermuda captive practice.
Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., which owns the world’s largest captive manager, announced the $5.6 billion acquisition of JLT last year.
