Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said on Tuesday it has acquired Canadian property/casualty insurance brokerage Jones Brown Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With around 70 employees, Vancouver, British Columbia-based Jones Brown places a broad array of commercial coverages and has offices in Calgary, Alberta, Hamilton, Ontario and Toronto.
Jones Brown staff will continue to operate from their existing locations under the direction of Steve Bryant, president of Gallagher’s Canadian retail property/casualty brokerage operations, Gallagher said in a statement.
Also on Tuesday, Gallagher announced the acquisition of Kalamazoo, Michigan-based First Agency Inc., a brokerage and managing general agency that offers athletic accident insurance and other coverages to colleges and K-12 schools.
Gallagher, which has a long history of growth through acquisitions, announced a string of deals over the past few weeks.
