BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

RSG Underwriting Managers LLC is combining its EmergIn Risk and ThinkRisk managing general underwriter teams, the unit of Ryan Specialty Group LLC said Wednesday.

The teams will operate under the EmergIn Risk brand going forward, and underwriting will continue in the U.S. and London, the company said in a statement.

Reza Khan, CEO and president of ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency and CorPro Underwriting Managers, based in New York, will lead the media liability and specialty errors and omissions products on a global basis, the statement said. He had previously served as executive vice president for both entities and has been with ThinkRisk since 2011, according to a separate statement from the company.

Jamie Bouloux, president and CEO of EmergIn Risk, will join Mr. Khan in New York to head the global cyber, technology E&O, and miscellaneous E&O lines, with Debbie Hobbs, senior underwriter and product development lead-cyber and technology at EmergIn Risk, assuming the leadership of the London operations, the statement said.

ThinkRisk was RSG’s first managing general underwriter and has underwritten media liability, specialized E&O coverages and cyber products for U.S. businesses since 2010, the statement said.

EmergIn Risk was launched in 2016 and specializes in underwriting complex cyber and tech related exposures for global businesses in industry sectors, including Energy / Utilities, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail, and Transportation, among others, the statement said.

“The combination of these two outstanding underwriting teams allows RSGUM to provide greater depth of products and services to our clients,” Mike Rice, chairman and CEO of RSG Underwriting Managers, said in the statement. “Working together, Reza, Jamie and the newly merged EmergIn Risk team will collaborate in both the expansion of existing programs as well as the creation of new emerging products.”
