Axis names CEO of European specialty, reinsurance units

Helen O’Sullivan has been named CEO of Axis Specialty Europe SE and Axis Re SE, Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. announced Tuesday.
Ms. O’Sullivan most recently served as deputy global tax director of Axis Capital. Based in Dublin, she succeeds Tim Hennessy, who earlier this year was named chief financial officer of the international division for Axis Insurance, the insurance business segment of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd.
Ms. O’Sullivan will oversee the company’s Irish subsidiaries and their branches. She will also join the board of directors of Axis Capital’s Irish subsidiaries as an executive director.
