BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Cyber firm appoints head of insurance

San Francisco-based Paladin Cyber, a cyber protection and remediation firm, has named Josh Riley, formerly of Markel Corp., to the newly created position of head of insurance.

Paladin, which was founded in 2017, works with small and mid-sized businesses. The company said in its statement Thursday that Mr. Riley will lead the company’s efforts to develop and market integrated solutions that combine risk management services with risk transfer to help clients manage cyber-related exposures. He reports to co-founder and CEO Han Wang.

Mr. Riley most recently managed the product and underwriting team for Glen Allen, Virginia-based Markel’s primary cyber coverage, where he was involved in evaluating and addressing cyber exposure of entities of all sizes, the statement said.
