BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Everest taps Lloyd’s executive as CEO of international insurance

Lloyd’s of London Chief Commercial Officer Vincent Vandendael will join Everest Insurance as CEO of international insurance early next year, Lloyd’s announced Friday.

“Vincent will have management responsibility for our London operation, Everest’s Lloyd’s syndicate 2786, Everest Insurance Ireland DAC, and will lead our further global expansion,” said Jonathan Zaffino, president and CEO of Everest Insurance, the diversified specialty insurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd., in a statement.

In his current position, Mr. Vandendael is responsible for all business development at Lloyd’s. He also leads Lloyd’s global network, which extends to 31 offices that support Lloyd’s licenses to operate in over 200 territories worldwide, said Lloyd’s in a statement.

“With plans for Lloyd’s Brussels now well advanced, Vincent will be working with the team over the coming months to transition his responsibilities,” according to the statement. It also said that Mr. Vandendael’s “leaving date will be confirmed in due course.”

“Lloyd’s is a tremendous global brand, and it has been a privilege to work with such a talented and committed team over the past six years,” said Mr. Vandendael in the statement.

“He will be greatly missed by the market and by everyone here at Lloyd’s,” said Lloyd’s CEO Inga Beale in the statement.
