MGU for Hartford Steam Boiler recruits former Hiscox executive

At-Bay, a managing general underwriter for Hartford Steam Boiler & Insurance Co., said Wednesday that former Hiscox USA executive Brett Sadoff is joining the company as head of insurance, effective Sept 1.
At Hiscox USA, Mr. Sadoff served as head of field and Hiscox partner, according to the statement by the Mountain View, California-based firm.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the design and deployment of At-Bay’s insurance program, field operations and underwriting. He will be based in San Francisco.
At-Bay said in March it had acquired an additional $13 million in funding, bringing the company’s total funding to $19 million.
