AF Group president adds CEO duties

Lisa Corless, president of AF Group, has assumed the additional position of chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Ms. Corless, a 2017 Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree, has been president of AF Group, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, since 2016. She will assume CEO duties from Elizabeth Haar, who is now BCBSM executive vice president and president of emerging markets, AF Group said Tuesday in a statement.
Based in Lansing, Michigan, Ms. Corless joined AF Group in 2013 as a member of the executive team, serving as senior vice president, chief administration officer and chief of staff.
As president, she expanded the company’s offerings into the commercial auto segment with the launch of Fundamental Underwriters earlier this year, according to the statement.
