USI recruits construction executive from rival Marsh

USI Insurance Services L.L.C. said Tuesday it has recruited Danette Beck from rival Marsh L.L.C. and named her national construction practice leader.
Ms. Beck, who will be based in Valhalla, New York, will be responsible for expanding USI’s construction practice, which covers clients including general contractors, trade contractors, property owners, investors and construction professionals, the broker said in a statement.
At Marsh, Ms. Beck was the West Zone construction practice leader for the past seven years.
Ms. Beck is taking over for Bill Scott, who has been interim practice leader for the past year, a company spokeswoman said. Mr. Scott will focus on his primary role as the property/casualty leader of USI’s White Plains, New York, office.
